Audio or Video Hearing New Orleans or Metairie

What if my hearing is by phone or video?

How does an audio or video hearing work?

If you have a telephone hearing, the Hearing Office will call your phone at the number they have on file for you at the scheduled time of the hearing. The judge, court reporter, vocational expert, and your attorney (if you have one) will already be on the line when they call you.

If you have a video hearing via Microsoft Teams, you will need to download the Microsoft Teams App to your phone, log in as a guest or access your pre-existing account, and access the meeting at the scheduled time. You can also access the hearing on a laptop or desktop computer by clicking a link emailed to you or your attorney by the court. This will not require you to download the Microsoft Teams App, but you must have a web camera and microphone on your computer so that the judge can see you. Make sure to test your phone or computer before the day of the hearing to ensure you know how to access the meeting and turn on your camera/microphone.

At the Law Offices of James S. Conner, we also invite all of our clients to simply come to our office for their remote hearings. If you come to our office, we can handle all of the technical details so you can focus on the hearing itself.

If you have questions about an upcoming hearing or would like to speak to us about your hearing, call us at (985) 626-1002 to discuss your case and set up an appointment with us at our Mandeville, LA office.
